The blockwork on the four-car garage is now complete and the roof is being prepared for felting, tiling and eventually a new black bitumen corrugated Corotile sheet roof with profiled metal sheeting.
The garage interior has a new concrete floor and is ready for first fix stage.

The original garage has been demolished along with part of the garden wall to extend it into a double door four-car garage and man-cave!
The raised foundations have been extended into the garden. The external walls are taking shape, with 3 windows and a door on the left hand side.

The kitchen and livingroom areas had been extended some 20 years ago, but to further modernise this house the interior wall between the original part of the house and the rear extension has been removed and steel support installed. This wall would have been the exterior wall of the original Victorian building.
When finished this will be a beautiful sunny open-plan kitchen and living space, or ‘family hub’.
The rear extension had some considerable damp issues, so the decision was taken to replace the concrete floor completely. Underfloor heating will be installed throughout this ground floor area.
The smallest bedroom at the top of the stairs has been adjoined to the master bedroom to become a dressing room. Further alterations will be made in this area to accommodate a new staircase for access to the attic, which is currently accessed through a hatch and ladder in the dressing room ceiling.

Victorian Glasgow Mansionhouse RenovationThe interior renovation and refurbishment of this 3 bedroom family home in Glasgow is making excellent progress.
First fix plumbing and electrics are underway and all sash and case windows are being completely removed, refurbished and rehung.
In the rear extension the wall between the kitchen and rear lounge has been removed to create an open-plan family hub area.
Underfloor heating will be installed throughout this rear ground floor area supplied by a completely new gas central heating system.
The damp proofing course is in progress throughout the rear extension, as well as some minor roof repair.
